Presentation of the picture book by Dubravko Detoni with illustrations by Ivana Fischer

Join us for the opening of the exhibition and the presentation of the picture book “Unusual News” by Dubravko Detoni, with illustrations by Ivana Fischer, on November 24, 2025, at 8 PM at the Cultural Information Centre, Preradovićeva 5, Zagreb.

In this truly unique picture book, Dubravko Detoni transforms everyday newspaper topics — politics, sports, culture, crime reports, celebrities and the weather forecast — into witty, rhymed and irresistibly entertaining poems. Accompanied by Ivana Fischer’s equally playful and whimsical illustrations, “Unusual News” becomes a delightful surprise for both children and adults.

The book will be presented by the author, Dubravko Detoni, the illustrator and designer Ivana Fischer, and Fraktura’s editor-in-chief, Seid Serdarević.
